InfraWorks is a program that is designed for Civil Engineers, Urban Planners and Project Engineers to create large-scale infrastructure models. InfraWorks is a Civil Infrastructure design program that provides conceptual design tools to better understand infrastructure.

You can communicate and evaluate design alternatives to show how the designs will perform in the existing environment. InfraWorks training will teach you to create models form GIS, BIM, CAD and Raster Images.

You will learn how to incorporate designs and models from AutoCAD Civil3D, Map3D and the Revit family. You will also learn how to depict 2D road centre lines, underground utilities and building footprints in the 3D environment. You will learn how to analyse your designs and create presentations from your designs to communicate to the stakeholders and clients.

Prerequisites:
  • Note: This course is designed for those using AutoCAD with a Windows operating system and is not designed for AutoCAD for Mac.
  • Access to the 2021 version of the software, to ensure compatibility with this course. Future software updates that are released by Autodesk may include changes that are not reflected in this course. The practices and files included with this course might not be compatible with prior versions (e.g., 2020).
  • Experience with AutoCAD® or AutoCAD-based products and a sound understanding and knowledge of civil engineering terminology.
  • Completion of the AutoCAD Fundamentals course, or equivalent experience using the AutoCAD software.
